Coatbridge Dental Department has been most helpful in providing places for our Trainee Dental Nurses and for placing good dental nurse students with us to facilitate their learning.

We in turn have gone on to employ placement trainees, having shared in their development and had a chance to get to know them in the process.

Jennifer Lowe and Kate Wilson have been very flexible in accommodating our needs, whilst we have also provided the use of our Digital Xray equipment for the use of additional college students. We feel the partnership has worked for students, the college and All 1 Smile and we hope to continue this relationship and enhance it by sharing ideas with the college to develop a future course to benefit Orthodontic Nurses.

Our dental nurses have been very happy at the college and we would highly recommend Coatbridge College to other employers.

Food Safety Training Partnership, by Gordon Cunningham - Food Safety Manager

The initiative has been operating for nearly seven years. Over this period there has been a 300% increase in the number of food handlers receiving training and there is no doubt the partnership between the local authority and the college’s in North Lanarkshire has been vital to this success.

Coatbridge College has made a considerable contribution to the increase in food safety training and I wish to confirm that I consider the College to be a Centre of Excellence in regard to food safety training.
